Construction of Botanic flyover on schedule
By ELAN PERUMAL

THE traffic congestion at the Klang interchange of the Kesas Highway will ease with the construction of a flyover connecting the highway to Bandar Botanic.
Construction work on the 1.5km flyover is on schedule and is expected to be completed by the middle of next year.
An official from Gamuda Land, the developer of Bandar Botanic, said the project was being built at Km19.4 at a cost of RM36mil.
Besides providing an option for motorists heading to and from the Kesas Highway, he said, it would enable those from Jalan Langat to go directly on to the highway.
“These motorists will be able to bypass the Jalan Langat-Kesas traffic light junction,” he said.
Currently, the official said, the Klang interchange on the Kesas Highway caused massive traffic congestion during the peak hours.
He said it caused long queues and motorists were involved in a bumper-to-bumper crawl before crossing the traffic lights junction.
“We believe the Bandar Botanic residents have been waiting for this. They can have a faster access to their homes soon,” he said.
Besides the Bandar Botanic residents, those living in the neighbouring residential areas would also benefit from the project, he said.

Maybe I am wrong in this or maybe I got the wrong info but I thought the flyover was suppose to be ready last year.

Anyway I still do hope the flyover can be completed faster.

Before reaching the Banting/Klang fly-over, the semi-constructed fly-over leading direct to Bandar Botanic can be seen.
